You can walk to Jan Thiel Beach, where you will find beach clubs, restaurants, shops, and water sports. Everything is close by. Sunrise 9 is quiet and peaceful but also close to fun and activity. This makes it perfect for couples, families, or friends who want to relax and enjoy the tropical atmosphere.

Jan Thiel Beach is a lively area with restaurants, beach clubs, diving schools, and sports facilities. You can relax on the beach, walk through the nearby salt flats, or follow the hiking path to Mambo Beach. The Spanish Water, close to the resort, is a great place for sailing, kayaking, and other water sports.
Behind the Spanish Water is the Old Quarry Golf Course, one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Caribbean. It received a rating of 8.6 in 2025 on the website Leading Courses. Another popular golf course is Blue Bay Golf, located west of Willemstad. Hole 6 is famous for a spectacular shot over a cliff.
From Sunrise 9, you can walk directly to Jan Thiel Beach using the private resort path. There is no need to walk on public roads. It is fast, safe, and easy. Jan Thiel area is the perfect combination of nature, culture, and comfort.
Willemstad, the capital of Curaçao, is only 20 minutes away by car. The airport is about 30 minutes by car. The location is ideal for both relaxation and adventure.

Sunrise 9 is a fantastic apartment (or condo) within the Boca Gentil Resort, known for luxury, safety, and calm surroundings. This spacious ground-floor vacation rental fits up to 6 guests. It’s modern, clean, and full of Caribbean charm, perfectly situated in the quiet center of the resort.
Inside, there is a large corner sofa and a dining table for six people. Wide sliding doors with wooden shutters open fully to the spacious outdoor area, often called the “living porch.” This is a great place to relax on the AppleBee lounge set or enjoy a meal at the big outdoor table. There are tropical plants, two sunbeds, ceiling fans, and a refreshing sea breeze. You can enjoy a wide view of the sea and garden from here.
Fully Equipped Kitchen
The open kitchen includes everything you need: an American-style SMEG fridge, oven, dishwasher, electric kettle, Nespresso machine, and Senseo coffee maker. Large shutters open to the veranda, making the space light and airy. You can cook inside or enjoy a BBQ outside. There is also a Yamaha Bluetooth speaker for your favorite music.
Comfortable Bedrooms and Bathrooms
There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a walk-in closet and a en suite private bathroom with walk-in shower and double sinks. The two other bedrooms share a second comfortable bathroom. There is also a second separate toilet room. All bedrooms have quiet air conditioning. During the day, you can open the shutters to let in natural light and enjoy the fresh breeze.
Swimming and Relaxation
Next to the apartment is a private swimming pool, shared only with the other Sunrise apartments. The pool area includes a teak deck, sunbeds, tables, and an outdoor shower. It is a calm and beautiful spot where you can relax. At Jan Thiel Beach, you can also use the large infinity pool shared with the beach hotel.
As a guest of Sunrise 9, you have free access to Jan Thiel Beach and the saltwater pool. You can also swim in the sea and relax on the floating platform offshore.
Nearby beach clubs like Zanzibar, Papagayo, Zest, and Koko’s offer food, drinks, music, and a fun beach vibe.
Management and Services
Quality comes first, and service is second to none, as Sunrise 9 has an agreement with the professional property management organization PINK Beheer at the Boca Gentil resort. They take care of your check-in, weekly cleaning, fresh bed linen and towels, and also serve as your local point of contact for any questions or assistance. Each guest receives a comfortable set of towels and a large beach towel.
To ensure you can start enjoying your holiday right away, a small welcome package will be waiting for you upon arrival. We also offer an optional grocery service. Additionally, a convenient supermarket (Van den Tweel AH) is located right next to the Boca Gentil resort.
Families with children can use a baby bed, high chair, baby monitor, and a collection of children’s books and games. There is a private parking space in front of the garage. Extra parking is available nearby on the resort at the entrance.
The Van den Tweel supermarket (formerly Albert Heijn) is just around the corner. You can buy fresh juice, bread, and everything you need for breakfast or a complete meal.

Using the online contact form below, you can reserve & book apartment Sunrise 9 at Boca Gentil. Making a booking takes three simple steps:
- Step 1: Make reservation. Choose the period based on the season and rental price. Through the online contact form, you can easily click and submit all desired overnight stays. This is completely non-binding.
- Step 2: Receive an offer. We will send you an offer with all the information as soon as possible.
- Step 3: Confirm your booking. Do you agree? Then confirm the offer by e-mail. You will then receive the booking confirmation form and an invoice. You first pay 25% of the travel sum as a deposit. The remaining amount (75%) must be paid no later than 8 weeks before arrival.
